if your necklace tarnish Bring one liter of water, one tablespoon of baking soda and one piece of aluminum foil to a boil. Drop silver in the pot for 5 minutes (longer if it's very tarnished), then remove using kitchen tongs. Magic! My 17 year old niece opened it and her face absolutely lit up. She put it on immediately, and ran to look in the mirror. She absolutely loved it. The pendant metal was slightly thinner than I’d expected, but she was thrilled.
